Profesorul, lingvistul şi publicistul Ion Melniciuc a fost șef al Catedrei de limbă română din cadrul Facultății de Litere. Pentru a-l comemora pe „Cavalerul limbii române” – Omul Cuvântului Ion Melniciuc –, profesori, scriitori, ziariști, colegi și foști studenți și-au dat întâlnire online, transmite usm.md. ☆ Un medic din cadrul Institutului Oncologic a pierdut lupta pentru viață din cauza complicațiilor cauzate de infecția cu COVID-19: „Adio, om minunat!”

Medicul oncolog Alexandru Gudima a fost răpus de complicațiile cauzate de infecția cu noul coronavirus. Despre decesul medicul au anunțat miercuri, 24 martie, reprezentanții Institutului Oncologic, printr-o postare făcută pe pagina de Facebook a instituției. Medicul Alexandru Gudima s-a născut la 31 ianuarie 1958 în or. Dondușeni, în anul 1981 a absolvit Facultatea Medicină Generală a Institutului de Stat de Medicină din Chişinău. Colectivul IMSP Institutul Oncologic îşi exprimă regretul faţă de decesul lui Alexandru Gudima, şi respectul profund pentru întreaga sa carieră şi contribuţie.

Valeriu Turea, șeful Biroului Relații cu Diaspora din cadrul Guvernului, s-a stins din viață pe 9 decembrie 2020. Așa a fost până Valeriu Turea a devenit șeful biroului în 2015-16 și apoi din 2019 încoace. Era o persoană educată, gentilă, avea niște maniere aș spune „de altădată” de comportament, era o persoană erudita și un mare comunicator.

☆ Au fost desemnați câștigătorii ediției a X-a a concursului „In memoriam Mihai Maranciuc”

În cadrul festivității de încheiere a ediției a X-a a concursului „In Memoriam Mihai Marinciuc”, la Universitatea Tehnică a Moldovei au fost premiați cei mai buni elevi la fizică. Competiția intelectuală a fost organizată de Asociația Obștească ICAR, în parteneriat cu Liceul Teoretic „Mihai Marinciuc”, Universitatea Tehnică a Moldovei și Fundația Soros Moldova. În legătură cu pandemia de COVID-19, ediția din anul curent a concursului s-a desfășurat online, iar participanții au avut de rezolvat 3 subiecte. Șase elevi de la „Orizontul” au obținut mențiuni în cadrul ediției curente a concursului de fizică. Acest material a fost scris și redactat de echipa UTM.

Cupa transmisibilă care este acordată instituției cu cele mai multe medalii în clasament a fost acordată din nou Liceului Teoretic „Orizont”, din Durlești. 3 elevi ai acestei instituții s-au clasat pe locul I, alți patru – pe locul II, iar doi dintre aceștia au obținut locul III. Pe locul II în clasamentul liceelor s-a situat Liceul Teoretic „Mircea Eliade” din Chișinău, discipolii căruia au obținut trei medalii, câte una pentru locurile – I, II și III, și șase mențiuni. Pe locul III s-au plasat elevii de la Liceul „Constantin Stere” din Soroca, aceștia reușind să obțină trei medalii și patru mențiuni. Competiția a fost organizată de Asociația Obștească ICAR, în parteneriat cu Liceul Teoretic „Mihai Marinciuc”, Universitatea Tehnică a Moldovei și Fundația Soros Moldova.
